Mercedes Benz S Class Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Mercedes Benz S Class cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in March the average price was Rs. 75.73 lakhs. April went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till Rs. 92.33 lakhs. During the following two months (May, June) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 21 % from Rs. 84.03 lakhs to Rs. 1.02 crores. The average price has had spectacular rise of 81 % with an average price of Rs. 92.97 lakhs during the previous 4 months and Rs. 1.68 crores during the most recent months in July and August.
The average price for Mercedes Benz S Class has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2006, the average price is Rs. 64.62 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (Rs. 35.5 lakhs) moving up till (Rs. 93.75 lakhs)in 2006. During the next two years (2007, 2014) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 158 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 34 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (Rs. 2.54 crores) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2015, 2016) with a price of Rs. 3.4 crores.
