Proton Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for Proton cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In October the average price per vehicle is Rs. 81.18 lakhs. During November the price went trough a strong deflation till Rs. 64.32 lakhs. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from Rs. 72.75 lakhs to Rs. 71.82 lakhs. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -19 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from Rs. 72.29 lakhs to Rs. 58.65 lakhs.
The average price for Proton has gone through a significant depreciation in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from 2021 to 2024, the average price was Rs. 32.19 lakhs. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between 2021 (Rs. 48.05 lakhs) and 2024 (Rs. 26.2 lakhs).
The graph that displays the price for Proton cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "10,000 - 25,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 49 % more affordable than the average price (Rs. 54.18 lakhs). Next with a price of Rs. 27.56 lakhs and a mileage range of "less than 10,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "25,000 - 50,000". It is 32% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "50,000 - 100,000" priced at Rs. 28.42 lakhs.
