BMW Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for BMW cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. The average price in September was of Rs. 86.11 lakhs. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at Rs. 84.69 lakhs during October. The following two months the selling price went through a strong reduction of -38 % compared to the previous two months studied. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from Rs. 69.12 lakhs to Rs. 69.75 lakhs during January and February.
The average price for BMW has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2003 and 2018, the average price is Rs. 94.79 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2003 (Rs. 39 lakhs) moving up till (Rs. 3.95 crores)in 2018. During the next two years the average price(Rs. 96 lakhs) has hardly changed, remaining at a constant value compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 49 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (Rs. 1.89 crores) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2022, 2023) with a price of Rs. 2.82 crores.
The graph that displays the price for BMW cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "less than 10,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 53 % more affordable than the average price (Rs. 84.18 lakhs). Next with a price of Rs. 1.4 crores and a mileage range of "50,000 - 100,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "50,000 - 100,000". It is 66% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "less than 10,000" and a price of Rs. 39.32 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW cars points out to "Petrol" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 55 % less expensive than the average market price (Rs. 84.18 lakhs) followed by "Hybrid" priced at Rs. 1.56 crores. On average the most expensive type of fuel is "Electric". It´s price is 369 % higher than the average market price followed by "Hybrid" which costs Rs. 1.56 crores.
